Premium Lion’s Mane Capsules 60s — R225

Hericium erinaceus fruiting body, dual-extracted, third-party lab tested. Vegan, non-GMO and gluten-free. Sixty capsules is a month at two a day.

What Lion’s Mane is

Lion’s Mane is a white, shaggy mushroom that grows on hardwood trees and looks rather like a pom-pom. It has been eaten and used in traditional Chinese and Japanese practice for centuries, and is now one of the most popular functional mushrooms worldwide.

Fruiting body versus mycelium — worth knowing

This is the single most useful thing to understand before buying Lion’s Mane from anyone.

Many cheaper products use mycelium grown on grain. The mycelium and the grain substrate are milled together, so a large share of what you swallow is starch from the grain rather than mushroom. Labels rarely make this obvious.

Ours is made from the fruiting body — the mushroom itself — with no grain filler.

Why dual extraction

Some of the compounds in Lion’s Mane are water-soluble and others are alcohol-soluble. A water-only extract misses half of them. Dual extraction uses both, so the full range ends up in the capsule.

How to take them

Two capsules daily with a meal, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Popular with students, shift workers and anyone building a routine around functional mushrooms.
