Moringa oleifera is the plant Nanotech Health has sold longest, usually as a powder. This is the tea version — 20 bags, brewed like any other herbal tea.
What makes this one different
It is the gentlest way into moringa. The powder is potent and tastes it: green, grassy, a little bitter, and stirring it into water is not for everyone. Brewed as tea it is far milder, and you are not committing to a whole 100g bag to find out whether you like it.
It is also naturally caffeine-free, which rooibos drinkers will recognise as the reason a herbal tea can be drunk after supper.
Who tends to buy it
People curious about moringa who have been put off by the powder, and tea drinkers looking for something other than rooibos in the evening. It also travels well — twenty teabags weigh nothing and pass through any kitchen.
How to brew it
One bag in freshly boiled water, left three to five minutes. Longer makes it stronger and more grassy. It takes honey or lemon well if you prefer. Fine hot or cooled over ice, which is worth knowing in a Gauteng summer.
